“You got any clue how many names have something to do with stupid sheep?” “Other than the variations that include the syllable sheep itself? Lamb, Shepherd, Ram, Mutton, Ewes—” “Shut up.” || Reunion in Death (In Death, Book 14)

Loved Ireland and Conemarra in particular. Hope to go back some day! And of course, Eve's phobia about anything farm/animal related is just one little chuckle at her expense!

I love all the various arms of any investigation Eve undertakes. She rarely misses a trick and almost always turns up something useful. Love following the maze that is her brain! ๐Ÿ™‚

Love Eve's fear of cows & other farm animals. She is hilarious with her trying to rationalize it.

I love her fear of farm animals. It just makes me laugh.

I get a chuckle out of reading about Eve’s fear of farm animals and wide open spaces...

Having grown up on a farm, I always get a chuckle out of Eve’s dislike for farm animals. It is not something she is used to.

I finished this book about a week ago

๐Ÿฅฐ Love it ๐Ÿฅฐ

Any animal other than Galahad she doesn’t trust.

Better sheep than cows though!

I think this made Eve start hating sheep almost as much as cows!

Love it ๐Ÿฅฐ

Dallas Orwell. Animal Farm,Scary minds.

At least it wasn’t people-eating cows!

Eve in Ireland was hilarious! She was so afraid evey animal was going to attack

Eve hates the country side. Cows might attack you ๐Ÿ˜†

Love Eve. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

Eve's interaction (or fear of) with any animal is hilarious. Her imagination runs riot ๐Ÿ˜€ x

It's called 'right of way'!!

re reading this one at the moment.

Too many variables lol

Sheep truly are stupid!

Her imagination is the best but funny

I forgot about that! But her fears are hilarious.

Dennis Mira is one of my all time favorite characters. His relationship with Eve is so beautiful .. I love that she falls a little bit in love with him every time they have a moment.

He is a wonderful character. I love how he has adopted Eve in his family. Love how adjusts her scarf and gave her the Pom Pom hat! She has a mom and a dad now.

That book was great loved it

Gotta love her absolute bafflement at the growing number of family members Eve is collecting along the way. Mr Mira is so delightful and have enjoyed her relationship develop with him so much

Got to love Mr Mira he's awesome and so kind and lovable!! Eve just adores him!!!

Love how Nora has fleshed out so many secondary and peripheral characters in the IN DEATH books!

Love this part in the book!

He is such a delightful character giving Eve a needed sense of balance!

I love Dennis Mira!! He and Eve are so sweet together. He’s looking out for her and she seems to relish the times they have together.

I love Mr Mira!! He is brilliant, kind, sweet, patient, makes REAL hot chocolate, and wears mismatched socks!! What could be better???

Dennis Mira is the petson you can go to when you are too embarrassed to talk to your parents. Kind, non-judgemental, a person who who listens as well as hears. A very rare, very beautiful soul.

I love his character so much!

Love that quote

Love him

He's so adorably quirky and loveable. Wise too๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’—

As I said, one of my favorite characters!

I love Mr. Mira...Eve does too, although not the same way she loves Feeney....Feeney is her father....

I love the interaction between Eve and Dennis, when she gets embarrassed about her feelings

I love that man, almost as much as Roarke!

Dennis mirror is one of my absolute favorite characters of the series he so true and Sweet

I love mr. Mira.

Every time Mr. Mira says or does anything I cry like a baby... I absolutely love him โ™ก

A very wise man, nowhere near as bumbling as he first appears. <3 x

He was still holding her hand, and she could find no polite way to tug free. And he was smiling at her with such amiable confusion and humor, she fell just a little bit in love. “No, you weren’t expecting me at all.” “Then what a nice surprise.” || Reunion in Death (In Death, Book 14)

I love the way Eve reacts to Dennis Mira - he's a second father figure and just so sweet!

I love her reaction to Dennis!!! It’s so sweet and he’s just adorable!๐Ÿ’ž

Watching her relationship evolve with both Miras has been a lovely experience.

I love Dennis Mira. He's exactly what Eve needs. The snowflake hat and mittens. They get me every time too. And she keeps up with them because he gave them to her. โค๏ธ

I just love Dennis Mira, he is such a sweetie and completely melts Eve's heart. He truly is the wonderful dad she never had. I love how he reacts to her, especially this scene where he tells her 'what a nice surprise.'! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿฅฐ

Love it when these 2 get together! Such absolute love and admiration on both sides. I have so enjoyed watching her fall for him a little more each time they interacted. We see a sweet and soft side to Eve when she's with Dennis.

I absolutely adore Mr. Mira. He's the sweetest thing ever. โค๏ธโค๏ธ

A truly wonderful father figure for her. Love Dennis Mira.

I love Dennis! He always makes me feel a bit warm and squishy inside... In a good way. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I love her interactions with Dennis Mira! He is so loving and gives little pieces of advice. I’ve loved him since Eve met him!

I love how Eve responds to Mr.Mira! Beautiful relationship.

He is one of my favorite characters - I love the way he is with Eve and how much she adores him.

I,like Eve have such a soft spot for him! How can you not fall a little bit in love with such a sweet man? I was sorry for him in "Brotherhood ". It's so nice to see her wearing the silly hat, just because he gave it to her. One more thing, can I please have his cocoa recipe? Lol

Dennis Mira is one of my favorite characters. I love his interactions with Eve.

Mira and Feeney are psychologically sound characters for aiding in Eve's healing process. I admire Nora for creating both characters and showing that good men exist. Roarke's all encompassing love is a wonderful thing, but he isn't a father figure and it wouldn't be very healthy if he was. I adore both Mira and Feeney.

I love him!! I had someone in my life that sounds a lot like Dennis, but he passed a few years back. So, when the story drifts back to him, it reminds me of my friend, and (believe it or not) seems to somewhat comfort me. Dennis may not be really real, but the book makes him real. <3 <3 Such a sweet person.

I would love Dennis Mira, too. What a Sweet Man!!!!!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Love Dennis! His sweetness strikes right to her heart and confuses her so! I enjoy their interactions. Great Characters!

I'm a little bit in love with Dennis Mira too! What a great "father" for Eve. Along with Feeney he is a positive image for her.

I love her relationship with Dennis Mira!! He always shares advise with her and she is so fascinated with him and his confusion and caring.

Dennis Mira is such a wonderful man. Like Eve, I fall in love with him a little more each time. I love when they interact in the stories.

I love the way Eve just melts. Dennis is really such a pure soul and Eve needs that in her life.

I absolutely love Eve's relationship with the Miras, especially how she reacts to them. They're both so loving, and she just can't help but love them back, even though it's foreign to her. Every time you bring Mr. Mira into a scene, I go back and read it several times. It warms me all over.

I love Dennis’ character! They way he gives Eve hats and mittens and unexpected hugs

“Anyway, do you think the passion, the sex, the way it is with us is just going to mellow out and fade off after a while?” “Bite your tongue.” || Reunion in Death

These two have the greatest passion for each other

Am listening to this right now... Love Love Love these books, you are an awesome writer!

No it's not going to wear off cause this two love each other unconditionally!! Eve and Roarke have a very unique relationship and Eve being a cop makes it more dangerous and challenging, Roarke loves to be involve in her cases and it's a total challenge for him too. They both depend on each other to help each other out which is so awesome that's why I love this series!!

Love reading about Eve and Rourke and the rest of the team. Re read them. Whilst waiting on the next book I started exploring Nora Roberts, I am sure JD Robb will not mind. Just reading Nora Roberts - Shelter in Place. I really recommend whilst waiting for our next JD Robb.

So love them.

Another example of where I laughed out loud and my husband just gave me 'the look'... ๐Ÿ™‚ I sometimes forget that when I'm reading I'm not always by myself...

Love it

I just read New York to Dallas, and think that is about the best In Death series so far. At least I got to learn more about Eve's past. I just LOVE all these stories anyway!!!!!!

Love these two

They change as they’re together longer. Never less, just changing to something new.

I skip over the sex, but I'm sure it's great, and will always be great, because it comes from the mind that created the Roarke master bathroom. Ultimate.

Love them so muchโ€ผ๏ธ I have read and reread these books dozens of times and never tire of them! It seems like such a long time til the next one comes outโ€ผ๏ธ

Love Eve and Roarke. โค

NEVER๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œThey are my favorite couple๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

But for Eve it is a very real concern since she’s never seen or felt otherwise. And especially with the case it is at the top of her mind. I love how JD Robb brings all those fears to the fore front and we get to see them work through it!

I need to get this book! I brought "Thankless in Death" to the hospital with me and I've read it twice. I need another book.

These quotes bring a smile to my face every time.

Yes Roarke bite your tongue for daring to such such a thing!

I love Roarke's reply.

But it's definitely a question everyone ponders when the relationship is so new and so intense!

Her question goes through every womans mind, love Rourke's simple answer

Love. These. Two!!!!!!! โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I wish I could read the latest.๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ I'm so far behind.๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I honestly don’t think it will, anytime in the near future, but maybe when they get older.. I don’t think Eve is thinking that far ahead...

Lieutenant, are you afraid of my wife?” “Yes, sir, I am.” “You’re in good company." || Reunion in Death (In Death, Book 14)

There IS such a thing as breast cream! (Although this is probably breast cancer in a jar...)

Her truest fear is pregnancy. The idea of having to hold a baby is terrifying. lol

No hesitation whatsoever. Just out with it. Love Eve

Eve and Anna Whitney would be a formidable combination. Add Dr. Mira, Nadine, Peabody and her mother and they’d rule the world!!!

These are the things that make Eve so relatable. Love her! ๐Ÿคฉ

She’s pretty wary of Trina I think. Sure she could take her, but what would happen the next time Trina gets hold of her?! And she respects Trina as well. It’s just way out of her comfort zone

I love how Eve gets the heebie-jeebies at the site of Trina!! So funny! Love their interactions!

Eve shouldn't be afraid of Mrs Whitney. In my opinion Anna Whitney is a snob. I do not like the way she treats Eve. On more than 1 occasion she insults Eve as a person and also how she does her job. Yes she now respects Eve's work but she still snobs her

She also seems to have a very respectful fear of little Belle.

Love reading with Eve and Anna.

fears her and loves her at the same time

Also, she has a healthy respect for the Commander's wife.

Mrs. Whitney sounds like she scares everyone!! As for Trina, she just doesn’t care enough about her appearance to warrant Trina doing what she does to her! She’s afraid of Bella, because a baby is something Eve has never had to deal with. Das and Ork, are the cutest nicknames I’ve ever heard!

Eve's fear of Anna Whitney isn't nearly as funny, though.

She is very afraid of Bella!

From my personal experience, you always need to fear the boss's wife or husband! They have more influence than you and can make your life miserable if you get on their bad side, plus block your access to your boss after-hours, when it's really important.

I reread this book a few days ago ๐Ÿคฃ

I just finished that yesterday. I’m on to Purity today.

Oh yes. Absolutely. And with good reason, too.

I love when Bella "slootches" her, and Eve is afraid to wipe her face.

And Mrs Tibble (Strangers in Death).

Mrs Whitney is a formidable lady but her gentler side appears occasionally. I think Eve is wary of anyone that she knows she can't intimidate with the Eve "look" ๐Ÿ˜‰ x

I think giving birth scares her a bunch.

Eve prays when she calls Whitney at home to have him answer. It's so funny to see how she just gets the sweats when Anna Whitney answers.
