The following is my opinion and does not necessarily reflect the opinions of the owner or any moderator or other member of Forum in Death.
When AJ first made the reluctant decision to end InDeath.Net, many people expressed shock and sadness at the loss. When the new forum came back, everyone expressed delight.
So what are you feeling now? No one knows. There’s too much silence.
This forum can only survive with your participation. If you are a lurker, if you visit every so often but don’t participate, please consider stepping up. Post a comment on a discussion. Ask a question, express an opinion, tell us what you’re reading. Something.
This is not the “AJ and the Moderators” show. We need all of you, we need a vibrant, involved community to survive.
I appreciate all of those who have come here (and to the old site) and participated instead of lurking. I understand that for a lot of people, if it’s not on Facebook, they just don’t have the time. I also get that for others, it’s hard to actually put yourself out there and actually be a part of the conversation. But in my opinion, making the time and effort to support public forums like this one is vital. Not only because I feel that one entity like Facebook shouldn’t have ultimate control of not only what you can see, but what you can say. But I also feel it’s important because there are people out there who can’t (or don’t want to) be on Facebook, and they get left out in the cold, and that’s not OK.
Thank you to all who have participated here, and I hope that in time, more of you will eventually feel comfortable to participate as well. If there is anything that I or the other moderators can do to make it easier for you to do so, please let us know!
Hey, just wanted to let you all know that I am currently sidelined due to hand surgery. Typing isn’t on my approved activities list and hurts, but I will be back. Of course, I need more surgery, so I don’t have a timeline. but I do miss the interactions with the people I have met here. I hope to join in again soon.IDFAN wrote:Hey, just wanted to let you all know that I am currently sidelined due to hand surgery. Oh no! I hope you heal quickly.
