I don’t think it’s you specifically as your comment was constructive. I think she’s tired of the more aggressive push back she’s gotten lately and maybe tried to head this one off before it became more of a thing.
It’s just jarring because normally when she flies that far off the handle she will go back and apologize or at least realize that she should. In this case, Eve as a character and the way the narrative of the book was going is that she really shouldn’t have to. That she was the injured party.
