Ok, I'll start off.  Yes, I know he's older, aren't we all, but as this is total fantasy, I still think Hugh would be a fabulous Roarke.

With my preference being with Audiobooks and I figure I'd start by saying I bought the two new audiobooks from writer Larry D. Sweazy called:

See Also Murder and See Also Deception (Marjorie Trumaine)

See Also Murder:

1964—Life on the North Dakota farm hasn’t always been easy for Marjorie Trumaine. She has begun working as a professional indexer to help with the bills—which have only gotten worse since the accident that left her husband, Hank, blind and paralyzed. When her nearest neighbors are murdered in their beds, though, Marjorie suddenly has to deal with new and terrifying problems.

Sheriff Hilo Jenkins brings her a strange amulet, found clutched in the hand of her murdered neighbor, and asks her to quietly find out what it is. Marjorie uses all the skills she has developed as an indexer to research the amulet and look into the murders, but as she closes in on the killer, and people around her continue to die, she realizes that the murderer is also closing in on her.

See Also Deception:

In a small North Dakota town in 1964, indexer Marjorie Trumaine investigates the alleged suicide of the local librarian, uncovering a web of secrets that puts her own life in jeopardy.

October 1964—Just months after freelance indexer Marjorie Trumaine helped solve a series of murders in Dickinson, North Dakota, she is faced with another death that pulls her into an unwanted investigation. Calla Eltmore, the local librarian, is found dead at work and everyone considers it suicide. But Marjorie can't believe that Calla would be capable of doing such a thing.

Marjorie's suspicions are further aroused when she notices something amiss at Calla's wake, but the police seem uninterested in her observations.

Despite pressing job commitments and the burden of caring for a husband in declining health, Marjorie sets out to uncover the truth. What she finds is a labyrinth of secrets—and threats from someone who will kill to keep these secrets hidden.

I wasn't really sure what to title this one...we might need to change the name later, but in the old forum we had "Dishy Guy Monday" or "Cougars Anonymous"....basically a place for us women to kind of appreciate nice looking men, though, it doesn't have to be just men, I suppose.

I know I've mentioned this on the old forum, and was recently talking to a friend of mine about how I have a kind of what I consider to be an inappropriate crush on Aidan Turner. My friend mentioned that it wasn't inappropriate at all, seeing as how he is more than of legal age, but still...

I saw this photo today of Aidan Turner on a horse, and even though it's not a good photo and blurry, it really did something for me. Not sure why.

So, my question is: who is your celebrity crush?

Thought I would start this thread back up again, though, I've been in a reading slump, so I haven't really been reading much.  Undecided

Since we're brand new to this site, I thought I'd open this thread by transferring some info from the last one.

Here is a quick tutorial on how to migrate wiki pages from the old wiki to the new.

First, open up both wikis in your browser:

http://indeath.net/indeathwiki/

http://indeath.wikia.com

Of course, as soon as we start this process, a re-design of Wikia happened, and all the old buttons have changed, making it a bit harder to edit. BUT, follow the instructions below, and you should be fine.

EDITED: We'll start at the In Death Wikia site. On the front page, click on the "Wanted Pages" Button.

EDITED: Here you can click on any of the existing links that come up. These are links that go to pages on the Wiki that have not yet been created. Ignore any pages that say "Category:" or "Template:" Instead, pick a familiar name, title, word, etc. there are plenty to choose from. Just click on the link to create that page.

The edit page will come up. You want to go to the pull-down menu and choose "Source Editor."

Now to to the old wiki and search for the same page. Once you have that page up, click on "Edit"

Select all the text in the edit box and copy it.

Go to the Wikia page where you should have your source editor still open. Paste your text into the source editor.

Click "Apply changes" then click "Save."

That's it! If you want, you can go back to the "Wanted Pages" button and start again.

Let me know if you have any questions or problems.

Thanks for your help, Everyone!

Please be advised, this forum Will Contain Spoilers!!

The rules are simple...

You must be a REGISTERED USER to play this game!

Post a trivia question from any In Death book or story that has been available in paperback for at least three months.

NO HARDCOVER BOOKS!

Please see pinned topic "Available Books" for the books that can be used.

The others have to guess which book it's from. To keep it fair, you'd have to post the title AND page number of the book OR the title and a complete description of the scene (see below). Once you are confirmed as the winner, you get to post the next trivia question.

The Nitty-Gritty Rules of the Trivia Challenge:

  • a trivia question must be identified within three days or a new trivia question will be posted by the same person
    • If there are no answers to a trivia question within 24 hours, you have to elaborate the trivia question, or give a hint.
    • You are allowed to give as many hints or add as much to the trivia question as necessary within the next 24 hours until someone guesses the trivia question or until the three-day limit expires and a new trivia question must be posted.
    • After three days, After three days, the member who posted the question or a moderator will declare the question "open," and at that time, ANYONE (including those ineligible) can identify the trivia question and win that round.
  • a new trivia question must be posted within three days by the person who identified the previous trivia question, and if not, the person who posted the last trivia question posts again
  • You must wait TWO turns to play again after you win, UNLESS a trivia question has been unidentified in three days, after that, it's up for grabs by anyone.
  • Books available only in hardcover cannot be used.
  • Once a hardcover title is released in paperback, you must wait three months before using a trivia question from that book. All dates refer to US release dates.
Please remember that using a search feature to find the answer...either on the forum, in other trivia question challenges, on the Wiki, on the web or in an electronic book is really not fair. Please do not find the answer this way.

AJ, I'm getting this error when I try to enter a signature.  Is that feature not available?

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I read the first book in this trilogy when it was published, and I wasn't thrilled so I didn't continue.  But I recently reactivated my library card so I put myself on the hold list for the other two and I got Bay of Sighs, book two, fairly quickly.  I had to re-read the first book, Stars of Fortune, again first and I still wasn't thrilled to bits.  Too many battle scenes, which is what I didn't like about both the Circle trilogy (the vampires) and the O'Dwyers trilogy.  But I'm liking the other bits so I just skim the battle scenes.

This one is specifically for Jen, but open for anyone to comment on:

Overheard in the lunchroom at work from a woman who is trying to lose weight: "My nutritionist said that my Coke Zeroes were fine, I can drink as many of those a day as I want." Confused  That can't possibly be right, can it?
